Marine

The World’s shipping lanes have never been as busy. The Global Market, emerging economies and continued demand to deliver consumer goods and services from one part of the world to another have all made a significant contribution to the demand for new ships to sail the seven seas.

Marine Fast Facts

By consulting with the International Maritime Organisation and working in partnership with Flag States and Classification Societies, Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions has developed a complete range of products and services to meet the challenge presented by this demand for greater, larger and more sophisticated ships.

We are particularly proud of our long working partnership with our customers within the naval armed forces. Having developed fire and safety solutions to meet their specific and often unique requirements on earlier vessels such as Type 42 destroyers, minehunters, minesweepeers, landing craft, survey vessels and submarines such as the Trafalgar and Vanguard Class, we are now heavily focused on protecting both the next and future generations of naval ships. We are constantly driven to fulfil and measure against the key performance indicators demanded by this specialist market sector.

These factors ensure that our fire engineering and safety solutions are very highly respected within the marine industry, especially by those within the naval armed forces who are required to protect us. With offices in over 100 countries, we have the global reach, expertise and financial strength to deliver the right systems on time, every time, anywhere in the world.

On average, 1250 commercial ships are delivered worldwide per year and Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions currently protect a large number of these vessels.

We have worked on or for:

•  75% of the world’s shipbuilding that is completed in the Far East
•  70% of Owners/Ship Management Companies that are located in Europe
•  80 Surface fighting ships
•  18 Submarines
•  22 Auxiliary Ships
•  10 Survey/Manned Auxiliaries
