MX Detector

The MX Digital loop has been specifically designed to tolerate a wide range of cable types which makes it an ideal solution for retro-fit projects that re-use existing cables, even upgrades from conventional systems, without the cost of re-wiring.

A wide range of input and output devices have been developed for use on the MX Digital loop.  They provide efficient solutions to I/O control taking advantage whenever possible of power derived from the 2 wire data loop.  Loop powered devices include - the loop powered sounder module, loop powered sounder bases, loop powered sounder address module, loop powered relay base, loop powered beacon, loop powered multi-I/O module, loop powered beam detector module.

Specialist detectors such as triple channel IR flame detectors, VESDA aspirating detectors and MXF100 linear fibre optic detectors can be connected directly onto the loop without the need for additional interfaces.

Large Networked Addressable System

Each ZX/MX allows up to 1000 addressable devices to be connected via the MXDigital loops.  The use of the MX allows the fragmentation of a number of fire controllers to be drawn into a network system.  Because every installation is different, MX Net has been designed to be highly flexible, allowing for a wide range of different system applications.  With a large network system the amount of data and information passing between fire controllers can become high during an emergency condition.  MX Net communication protocol has been specifically designed with this in mind and ensures that each event message passed around the network is acknowledged by the receiving controller in the fastest possible time.  The network is totally flexible and enables from 2 to 99 fire controllers to be seamlessly linked together, providing a system capability of up to 23,760 fire zones with 99,000 detection addresses and over 150,000 digital I/O points.  MX net employs a token passing communications protocol that treats each node on the network equally.  Loss of one or more nodes does not affect the operation of the remainder of the network.
