Using standard 100Mb Fast ethernet connections over either copper or fibre, the RTP 2500/3000 continuously transmits on every leg including all redundant paths on a continuous basis.  By ensuring every I/O, host and peer-to-peer communication forms an integral part of the process, there is no Hot-Standby situation.  With every leg "Live", fault tolerance is multiplied giving rise to significant enhancements in integrity and availability.

With I/O scanned in 1ms, a system scan time of 5ms and an impressive 12ms screw-to-screw response time, it guarantees every event is captured regardless of size and loading.

10,000+ I/O points can be simultaneously processed and 100,000 tags per second are passed up to the supervisory host for visualisation and data archiving.

The 10 year proof test requires only a re-boot of the Node Control Cards every 10 years.  This is a online activity and requires no system shutdown or card returns.

RTP's second generation of "Fault Tolerant" hardware and criticality acclaimed Advanced Diagnostics (diagnostics of the diagnostic) ensures the RTP achieves the highest possible integrity.  The advanced diagnostics will check and validate that every decision made is correct before implementation by carrying out special routines that constantly check and recheck the program validity.
