The so-called Dry Testing Regime which has been discussed extensively with Health & Safety authorities, comprises:

• Testing of deluge skid
• Inspection of distribution pipework by borescoping
• Logging inspection data & borescoping images in the Maintenance Managing System

Yearly inspections are sufficient to monitor corrosion and scale build up over time and are used to planning future treatment, testing and surveys.

Advantages

1. Dry testing will not cause damage because of water ingress,
2. Does not take long and will not affect normal platform operation.
3. Dry Testing is far cheaper than replacing distribution pipework and will extend the lifetime expectancy of pipework considerably.
