Overview

These systems are ideal for the protection of indoor process areas and truck loading racks within petrochemical and pharmaceutical plants.  The system utilises a Deluge System control valve and open Medium Velocity water spray discharge nozzles.  The type of nozzle, the flow rate, and discharge angle is determined by the type of risk involved.

Medium Velocity water spray nozzles can also be used with low expansion foam for small bund protection to suppress hazardous chemical vapours that may occur as a result of storage tank rupture.

Foam pourers or extended wide angle foam nozzles are extremely effective for fighting medium sized bund fires. For very large bund areas involving oil storage tanks a combination of foam pourers and long throw foam nozzles can be used.
