Overview
Sprinkler detector line nozzles are fitted into a detector airline to bring a group of medium velocity waterspray open nozzles into action under fire conditions. In the event of a fire, the sprinkler head nearest to the seat of the fire will activate at a pre-determined temperature. This causes the air pressure within the detection airline system to drop.
The immediate drop in air pressure within the detector line releases the pressure against the Deluge valve diaphragm unit causing the Deluge Valve to open and discharge water through all the open medium velocity waterspray nozzles to rapidly cool, control and suppress the fire until it burns itself out.
