MicroDrop® High Pressure Water Mist pumped systems operate at 100 – 120 bar and provide a continuous water flow to the nozzles.  These systems are ideally suited to protecting large spaces or fire risks involving ordinary combustibles.

They can be used for both dry pipe (open nozzle system) where the system is activated manually or from an automatic detection system allowing watermist to be discharged simultaneously from all nozzles in the zoned area.

Alternatively, wet pipe systems can be used that incorporate sealed glass bulb activated detector nozzles. In this instance only the nozzles affected by the fire open to allow watermist to be discharged directly on to the seat of the fire.

Description of Operation

Pump systems can also be arranged to operate on a distribution valve arrangement where water is automatically discharged to a specific zone only.

The systems are extremely versatile and can be arranged to incorporate a wide variety of features.

The MicroDrop® pump system consists of:

  • High Pressure Pump Unit Tank - capacities dependant on the required discharge time
  • Tank support
  • Tank inlet
  • Return pipe
  • Tank overflow and level measurement
  • Suction line including tank drain
  • Gauges, valves and switches
